Jaguar XK Convertiblr

People are asking if Jaguar will upgrade Jaguar Parts on their XK Convertible. The cars really look good, but let’s admit it that it need some upgrade.
Well, it’s been two years since they launched it and as of now the XK Convertible are getting sales even having the same high price since it was launched.
They said that they will upgrade it especially the interior. There will be gorgeous faux suede on the A-pillars and windshield header, a terrific 525-watt Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and the very cool Jaguar Drive selector knob with a starter button on the center. But more than simply boasting new content, the whole interior feels better. It feels more finely crafted, more pleasing to the touch —; the leather, the wood, the chrome, the plastic, all of it. In other words, it feels (at last) worthy of its not-insubstantial sticker price. And under the hood, it gets even better. The engine is the biggest change for 2010. Jaguar claims the standard XK is good for 22 mph in the Interstate. The engine is smooth, sweet-sounding, and never less than completely willing.
I really do hope to have this one. :)

What is ram air intake?

What is ram air intake?
A ram air intake is any intake design which uses the dynamic air pressure created by vehicle motion to increase the static air pressure inside of the intake manifold on an engine, thus allowing a greater mass flow through the engine and hence increasing engine power.
The ram air intake works by reducing the intake air velocity by increasing the cross sectional area of the intake ducting. When gas velocity goes down the dynamic pressure is reduced while the static pressure is increased. The increased static pressure in the plenum chamber has a positive effect on engine power, both because of the pressure itself and the increased air density this higher pressure gives.
Ram-air systems are used on high-performance vehicles, most often on motorcycles and performance cars. Ram-air was a feature on some cars in the sixties, falling out of favor in the seventies, but recently making a comeback. While ram-air may increase the volumetric efficiency of an engine, they can be difficult to combine with carburetters, which rely on a venturi-engendered pressure drop to draw fuel through the main jet. As the pressurised ram-air may kill this venturi effect, the carb will need to be designed to take this into account; or the engine may need fuel-injection.

What is window regulator?

What is window regulator? We have two different types of doors. We have manual doors and electrical doors, or electrical driven doors. Either way the window regulators are the same, they are either driven with a crank or with a motor through a switch. Some people called it track assemblies, window assemblies. Window regulator is basically the assembly. Now, how hard it is to replace a broken window regulator? This is not that really hard you just need to know or to check what window regulator parts are need to be replace or has a problem. Or if you don’t want to DIY it you can bring it to an auto mechanic so that they are the one who will fix it but you have to pay them so sit still much better to DIY. The common symptoms of a broken window regulator is a failing door window regulator can cause a window not to open or close. The window could also make a lot of noise or stick intermittently. Lastly, the window glass might drop inside the door. You can search for some DIY’s over the internet to know how because its depend on what vehicle you have.

How to replace fuel level sending unit

How to replace FUEL LEVEL SENDINGUNIT (OR FUEL PUMP): With the car high up on jacks, and the tank nearly empty, release the pressure on the fuel pump by opening the fuel cap and unplugging the inertia switch. Under the car, you will see the fuel tank attached to the trunk pan with straps. On the front of the tank, you will see the fuel lines and electrical connector attached to the pump. To disconnect the fuel lines, you will need a duckbill. Check your fuel lines because it can break easily. Next, you will need a brass punch and rubber mallet to remove the fuel pump retaining ring.  Put the brass punch against one of the three tabs and hammer it counter clockwise. It should spin pretty easily and come loose. Then, Remove the ring and work the fuel pump out. You can test the fuel level sending unit again, on the workbench to verify it is broken. With the sending unit running $50-60, and a whole fuel pump (including sending unit) running $100-120, it's probably worthwhile to go ahead and change the whole pump at the same time. If you re-use the fuel pump be sure to clean the screen before you put it all back together. A dirty screen will equal a new fuel pump in a month. Replace the fuel pump by reversing the procedure.
